To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must demonstrate strong financial need (based on family income and number of dependents), have an un-weighted GPA of 3.0, and have a clearly identified career goal. Community service, job experience, and extracurricular activities are also considered. Please see Mrs. Manuel in the Counseling office for more information. The deadline to apply will be March 18th.
The Tar Heel Girls State Program

The program informs young women about the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship in order that they may better understand and participate in the functioning of their government. The 2016 Program dates are June 12-18 at Catawba College. The cost is $400 (all-inclusive, food, room, activities). One junior and one alternate will be nominated by Ragsdale on Thursday, March 17th.
